I get some version of this question all the time: Does Peaceful Parenting really work?

Of course, I am a real parent. And yes, I’m biased — because I’ve seen thousands of parents transform their families with this approach, and because the research is so clear.

But Kevin is right about one thing: Sometimes parents need to hear from other parents. Not psychologists. Not experts. Just real people in real homes, with real children and real hard days.

So today, I want to ask you. Has the Peaceful Parenting approach helped you?

Maybe it helped you stay calm when you would once have yelled. Maybe your child opened up instead of shutting down. Maybe a power struggle softened. Maybe your family still has hard days — but there’s more repair, more connection, more hope.

If you have a story like that, would you send it to me?

Because you know firsthand how hard parenting can be. You know how heroic it can feel simply to choose love when everything in you wants to snap. And your story could be exactly what another parent needs to hear when they’re wondering whether this work is worth it.

The more specific you can be, the more helpful your story will be. A real moment. A real struggle. What you tried. What happened. What changed.

Just send an email with the subject line “Success Story” to: DrLauraMarkham@PeacefulParentHappyKids.com

I’ll share some of your stories here, for Kevin and for all the other parents who wonder whether this approach really works. I won’t use last names. And if you don’t want your first name used, just let me know.

Thank you for taking the time. Together, we really are changing the world — one child at a time, by supporting parents.
